O’Shea the unlikely hero

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 30, 2009

Unlikely hero John O’Shea gave Manchester United a priceless 1-0 lead to take into the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Arsenal.

The defender’s nerveless 17th-minute effort was the least Sir Alex Ferguson’s side deserved for a near faultless display, in which Manuel Almunia made a quartet of stunning saves and Cristiano Ronaldo rattled the Gunners’ crossbar. In addition, Ryan Giggs had a goal controversially disallowed for offside on his 800th appearance.

Pole Position

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 23, 2009

Paul Scholes marked his 600th Manchester United appearance in trademark fashion, supplying the killer through ball that could eventually seal an 18th league championship for the Red Devils in a 2-0 win against Portsmouth last night. With Chelsea’s failure to beat Everton at Stamford Bridge now leaves Liverpool as United’s only realistic title rivals. And goals from Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick mean our lads are now three points clear of our north-west rivals, with a game in hand of course.

rooney-350Rooney fires 1st goal 9th minutes in e first half

Gary Neville and John O’Shea will be out for ‘weeks’ after both men limped out fr. e match. Neville was forced off with a foot injury just after Wayne Rooney’s early opener and his replacement O’Shea hobbled off not long after half-time after taking a heavy blow on his ankle. Both could now be missing for the remainder of the campaign. Wot a great loss for us here because both are an important first team players. It was part of a bittersweet evening for the Champion.

Anfield Thriller: Arshavin hits 4

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 22, 2009

Four goals from Andrey Arshavin put a huge dent in Liverpool’s Barclays Premier League title hopes as Arsenal drew 4-4 at Anfield. Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun scored soon after the interval but three further goals from the Russian Gunner piled the pressure back on Rafael Benitez’s side and even a second from Torres and an injury-time equaliser from Benayoun were not enough to force victory.

The result hands a huge advantage to United, who have two matches in hand with the first tomorrow at home to Portsmouth. I expect this would be an easy win for the lads as all of our stars available to line up first eleven. Good call for e Gaffer not to play them at Wembley against Everton.

Yesterday, i was on e phone with my fabulous super ex-girlfriend, when she surprisingly forward me a pic of us together back in 1996. i was truly terrified to see dad and of course the pic had quickly reminded me of e sweetest moment we were together. Well Honey, i am still in love with you like the way i was before but deep down here i know that you’ll never could be mine matter wot!!..ONLY a MIRACLE from the Almighty can let us be together again.

(I was wearing my fav. one star Converse and 521 with Raiders T’Shirt and she’s wearing my RUSH T-Shirt..sooo fucking Comel)

PRK Penanti: Apakah Keputusan PM Baru??

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 21, 2009

Apapun kita tunggu apa kata chief mereka?

End of the Great Run..

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 21, 2009

Last night, our lads (a very young ones) were crashed out by ambitious Everton’s best side ever in FA Cup semi final at Wembley. No goals in 90 minutes and extra time, the match went down to penalties. When Berbatov & Rio Ferdinand failed to score their spot kick, i just knew that we are finished!!..and it’s true after Jagielka had scored..Everton will play their final with Chelsea. The Devil’s are mourned out.

Now, let us focus on winning the Champions League Cup. i mean first we have to overcome The Gunners then a real showdown with Barca in e finals.

Glory Glory Man United!!!!

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 16, 2009

ronaldo4120415Ronaldo celebrates his best goal ever this season when he strike a spectacular 36 yards bullet speed shot to earn United a place in Cup Semi Final with Arsenal. Porto keeper Helton did not have a chance of keeping the ball out as it flashed past him to give United the start I could not have dreamed.

We showed good concentration at the back and defended very well. We deserve an all English Semi after all. Arsenal have been portrayed as a club in crisis this season but they are now in the Champions League semi-final after sweeping past Villarreal 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Theo Walcott, Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie were on the scoresheet.

Enough of sports right now, i feel to speak up my views to several issues that’s going on here in our beloved country. In a recent interview with Mingguan Malaysia, Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, claimed that he was at a loss as to why the Chinese voters failed to support the Barisan Nasional in the recent by-elections for both the parliamentary seat of Bukit Gantang and the state constituency of Bukit Selambau, despite the BN pouring millions to the Chinese schools. These statements by the DPM was distasteful and an insult, not just to the Malaysian Chinese community, but to all Malaysians. As that how it shows to justify BN continues to engage in the practice of utilising public funds to buy electoral support. Guess wot? People don’t buy it so called ‘politik murahan’ by BN and hell with e corrupt coalition!!!!

One Malaysia..A Silent Tragedy to Malaysia

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 15, 2009

Who knows..

Blues passed thru’ while Reds is stunned out from Cup Semis

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 15, 2009

Chelsea denied Liverpool the glory of another sensational European comeback to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 7-5 aggregate win. Fabio Aurelio and Xabi Alonso gives The Reds a hopefull comeback after scoring both goals before half an hour in e first half .

But the Blues looked home and dry after producing a sensational comeback of their own – scoring three times in the second half by Drogba, Alex and Lampard to lead 6-3 on aggregate at one stage. Yet this incredible contest took another twist when Liverpool scored twice in as many minutes through Lucas and Dirk Kuyt to leave them just one goal adrift of an incredible victory at Stanford Bridge.

However, Frank Lampard’s second in the 89th minute secured a 4-4 draw on the night and a date with Barcelona. Well, i guess this would be the end of Chelsea’s cup runs asuming they will burned together by the Catalans who eye the Great Final against The Champions of the World, MANCHESTER UNITED. Porto will surely be defeated by them in style when both meet later tonight.

My strategy is United will tighten up in defence, be more creative in midfield and overcome mental tiredness to eliminate Porto. I should be able to field striker Dimitar Berbatov who has recovered from an ankle which ruled him out of the first leg.

My line up for tonight revenge mission:-

1-Edwin van der Sar

22-John O’Shea, 5-Rio Ferdinand, 15-Nemanja Vidic, 3-Patrice Evra;

24-Darren Fletcher, 16-Michael Carrick, 18-Paul Scholes; 7-Cristiano Ronaldo

10-Wayne Rooney, 9-Dimitar Berbatov

Subs:- 23-Jonny Evans 32-Tevez 3-Gary Neville 12-Ben Foster, 11-Ryan Giggs, 13-Ji-Sung Park, 8-Anderson, 41-Federico Macheda, 17-Nani

Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea: Blues stun Anfield

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 9, 2009

Liverpool were hammered in their own back-yard in the Champions League as Chelsea took a huge step on the road to a possible Champions League final in Rome with a 3-1 win. Fernando Torres scored in the sixth minute. But Chelsea gradually took over, and two headed goals from Branislav Ivanovic – both poorly-defended set-pieces – and a close-range Didier Drogba strike stunned the Reds.

The other QF, Barcelona took a giant step towards the semi-finals of the Champions League as they thrashed Bayern Munich 4-0 at the Nou Camp. The Catalans raced into a two-goal lead within 12 minutes as Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto’o struck early on.

And the locals’ dominance brought two more goals before half-time, with Thierry Henry setting up Messi for his second seven minutes before the break and then slotting home a fourth himself just before the interval. Barcelona 4  Bayern Munich 0

Victory at Two Hills

Posted by chulalongkorn on April 8, 2009

The rakyat have spoken and as many expected, Pakatan Rakyat emerged great memorable victory in by election at bothhills of Bukit Gantang & Bukit Selambau.

The official results of Bukit Gantang By election indicated an increase majority won by PAS Candidate, Datuk Seri Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin  who wins 21,860 votes beating BN’s  Ismail Saffian who got 19,071 votes whereby Independant Candidate, Kamarul Ramizu only managed to win 62 votes…this shows a majority of 2789 compare to 1566 majority won by Pas candidate, Roslan Shaharum in e past 12th General Election.

At Bukit Selambau, PKR’s young candidate, S Manikumar defeated 14 other candidates to win the seat by majority 2,403 votes. In my professional opinion, it is clear that BN now is heading towards the end of their journey to become people’s choice party. They must at least admit it and try not to finger point to their weak leaders who responsible for this humilating lost. UMNO is now irrelevant enough. Please stop this ‘wayang kulit’ and step down as a man!!!!

Some sports news, Chelsea will play Liverpool in Champions league Quarter Final Leg 1 at Anfield late tonight.or should we say it early tomorrow at 3 a.m. Elsewhere, Barcelona will host Bayern Munich in other QF Leg 1 of e cup. Man United had suffered a major blow conceeding 2 goals at home against Porto in their 2-2 draw. Arsenal also tied 1-1 with Villareal.
